Liposomal Vitamin C (120mL)

Quick Overview:

Although many only think of vitamin C when sick with a cold or for illness prevention, the potential benefits and physiological importance of vitamin C go far beyond this. Vitamin C is important for the growth and repair of tissues in all parts of the body, it supports cholesterol metabolism, is a cofactor in numerous enzymatic reactions, and is necessary for the synthesis of hormones and neurotransmitters.* As an antioxidant, vitamin C scavenges and neutralizes free radicals, and supports levels of vitamin E and glutathione.* Increased levels of oxidative stress may contribute to diseases such as depression, metabolic syndrome, autoimmunity, cardiovascular disease, and neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, giving many reasons for consideration of antioxidant therapies.

With oral dosing of conventional vitamin C, absorption decreases with increasing dosage due to gastrointestinal saturation. The liposomal delivery form offsets that loss and enables high-level dosing without intravenous therapy.* Sodium ascorbate, a mineral salt of ascorbic acid (sourced from corn) is the form of vitamin C found in this liposomal formula. Buffered forms of vitamin C such as this are generally better tolerated than regular ascorbic acid supplements by those with gastrointestinal sensitivity.*

Immune function: Vitamin C may reduce incidence, duration, and severity of common cold, and reduces levels of histamine which may improve allergies or asthmatic symptoms.*

Antioxidant: Vitamin C scavenges free radicles, inhibits lipid peroxidation, and supports levels of vitamin E and glutathione.*

Tissue health: Vitamin C stimulates collagen synthesis, particularly that of Type I and Type III collagen.*

Neurotransmitter and hormone synthesis: High levels of vitamin C in neurons and the adrenal glands support hormone and neurotransmitter synthesis.*

Quicksilver Delivery Systems™ optimizes the bioavailability of vitamin C with this liposomal format. The phospholipids delivered with vitamin C nourish the membranes of the cells, ensuring proper function for the absorption of nutrients and the excretion of cellular waste products and toxins.*

How is Hemp Oil Different Than CBD Oil?

Both hemp oil and CBD (cannabidiol) oil come from the Cannabis sativa plant, but from different strains. Like different varieties of roses, the various strains of Cannabis sativa possess unique properties and contain different amounts of the cannabinoids tetrahydrocannabidiol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD).

THC is the primary psychoactive constituent of Cannabis (ie: the part that gets you high), whereas CBD is not psychoactive and possesses powerful medicinal properties.

Hemp oil is derived from the seeds of a strain of Cannabis sativa that has extremely low counts of THC and CBD, whereas CBD oil comes from the flowers, leaves, and stalks of a strain low in THC and high in CBD. Because of their negligible THC content, neither hemp oil nor CBD oil cause euphoria or other psychoactive effects.

Much like the oils derived from coconuts, almonds, and olives, hemp oil has various uses and is rich in nutrients, including omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, vitamin E, potassium, magnesium, vitamin B1, and vitamin B2.
