Liposomal GABA with L-Theanine (1.7 oz)

$33.00

Quick Overview:

GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) is produced by neurons in the brain, and functions as the principle inhibitory neurotransmitter. GABA is associated with the parasympathetic side of the autonomic nervous system, which balances the sympathetic (fight-or-flight) response. Lower concentrations of GABA have been observed in major depression and post-traumatic stress disorder in the brain, and a region of the brain known as the insular cortex that is associated with emotional response.* Lower insula levels of GABA are associated with significantly higher trait and state anxiety.* GABA, as an inhibitory neurotransmitter, is one of the mediators responsible for reducing the response to fear or anxiety-provoking stimuli.*

L-theanine is an amino acid found at high amounts in green tea. L-theanine supports relaxation and mood by increasing alpha-wave activity, and levels of serotonin, dopamine, and GABA in the brain.* L-theanine also has been shown to block binding of L-glutamic acid to excitatory glutamate receptors in the brain.* Glutamate receptor subtypes have been shown to modulate excitability associated with anxiety, while in depression, a hyperfunctioning glutaminergic system also may be an issue.* Continuous administration of L-theanine has been shown to increase expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) protein, a protein which plays a role in neural plasticity and neurogenesis.*

Description

Liposomal GABA with L-Theanine brings you a highly absorbable form of GABA partnered with L-theanine for optimal parasympathetic support.*

Conventional oral forms of GABA do not easily cross the blood-brain barrier, however small liposomal delivery vesicles, such as those utilized by Quicksilver Scientific, have demonstrated this ability, producing a quick and powerful effect.*

Quicksilver Delivery Systems™ optimizes the bioavailability of GABA and L-theanine with this liposomal format. The phospholipids delivered with GABA and L-theanine nourish the membranes of the cells, ensuring proper function for the absorption of nutrients and the excretion of cellular waste products and toxins.*

Consult healthcare professional prior to taking this product if pregnant or breastfeeding.

May be stored at room temperature. Keep out of direct sunlight.

How is Hemp Oil Different Than CBD Oil?

Both hemp oil and CBD (cannabidiol) oil come from the Cannabis sativa plant, but from different strains. Like different varieties of roses, the various strains of Cannabis sativa possess unique properties and contain different amounts of the cannabinoids tetrahydrocannabidiol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD).

THC is the primary psychoactive constituent of Cannabis (ie: the part that gets you high), whereas CBD is not psychoactive and possesses powerful medicinal properties.

Hemp oil is derived from the seeds of a strain of Cannabis sativa that has extremely low counts of THC and CBD, whereas CBD oil comes from the flowers, leaves, and stalks of a strain low in THC and high in CBD. Because of their negligible THC content, neither hemp oil nor CBD oil cause euphoria or other psychoactive effects.

Much like the oils derived from coconuts, almonds, and olives, hemp oil has various uses and is rich in nutrients, including omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, vitamin E, potassium, magnesium, vitamin B1, and vitamin B2.
